Extra-curricular choirs are selected through audition, and rehearse outside of the regular school day. These choirs perform in various concerts throughout the year.
The Madrigal Court is an extracurricular mixed ensemble of sophomore, junior, and senior students who are the featured performers of the annual Madrigal Dinner. This is an auditioned ensemble that includes the student voted Madrigal King and Queen, as well as the director appointed Jesters. They serve as musicians and actors in the Madrigal Dinners, performing Renaissance music as well as other holiday favorites.
This womens' ensemble performs Renaissance music as well as holiday favorites, as an integral part of the production and performance of the Madrigal dinners. There they serve as actors and musicians as well as our servers of the Feaste and also make corny jokes with the guests.
Minstrels is a extra curricular choir women's ensemble that performs, acts, and severs alongside Trouvers in the Madrigal dinners. Any Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior may join. They perform Renaissance music and other holiday favorites! As servers, they crack a cheesy joke with the crowd!
Men's Ensemble is open to grades 9-12 regardless of choir. Singing a wide variety of pop, jazz, and folk music, this ensemble will perform at various concerts throughout the year.
Off the Record
Off the Record is one of our extracurricular contemporary a cappella ensembles, open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. It is a mixed ensemble including a vocal percussionist, and an audition is required in order to be considered for placement. Off the Record competes in the Varsity Vocals International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA), and has won 1st place in Quarterfinals, qualifying to advance to Semifinals, for the past 2 consecutive years. They perform music in a pop/rock/contemporary style and sing using modern popular techniques.
Vocal Point is an extracurricular contemporary a cappella ensemble, open to freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors! It is a treble ensemble plus a vocal percussionist, and an audition is required in order to be considered for placement. Vocal Point competes in the Varsity Vocals International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA). They perform music in a pop/rock/contemporary style and sing using modern popular techniques.
